Prune Pudding

  • 1 pound prunes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • lemon
  • shredded wheat biscuit
  • milk
  • cream
Wash, soak, and cook prunes until very soft. Remove pits, crack 3 or 4, chop meats well, and ad to pulp. Cook pulp, sugar, and a slice of lemon until a smooth paste is formed. Very quickly dip shredded wheat biscuit into slightly warmed milk, spread a layer of prune paste on the biscuits about an inch thick, and over this put whipped cream.
