Plum Pudding
- 1 pound currants
- Flour
- 1 pound raisins
- 1/2 pound beef suet chopped fine
- 1 pound fine bread crumbs
- 1/4 pound citron
- 1/8 pound blanched almonds
- 1 small teaspoon salt
- 8 eggs
- 1/2 pint milk
- 1 coffee cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon each cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg
One pound currants dredged with flour, 1 pound raisins, 1/2 pound beef suet chopped fine, 1 pound fine bread crumbs, 1/4 pound citron, 1/8 pound blanched almonds, 1 small teaspoon salt, 8 eggs, 1/2 pint milk, 1 coffee cup sugar, 1 teaspoon each cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. Mix all together, adding beaten white of egg last. Boil 5 hours in a pudding bag, which must be heavily buttered, and sprinkled with flour.
