Plum Pudding
- 1 pound raisins
- 1 pound currants
- 1/2 pound citron
- 3 large carrots
- 1/2 pound suet, chop fine
- 2 cups dry bread crumbs
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 nutmeg
- 4 eggs
- Milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
One pound raisins, 1 pound currants, 1/2 pound citron, (less will do), 3 large carrots, grated, 1/2 pound suet, chop fine, 2 cups dry bread crumbs rolled, 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cloves, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 nutmeg, 4 eggs, milk sufficient amount to make all stick well together, 2 teaspoons baking powder; steam 3 hours if in small cans, if you put all in 1 loaf, steam 6 hours. Serve with sauce.
