Plain Suet Pudding

  • 1 cup suet, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Flour
Mix completely all of the above ingredients together. Add enough flour to make a stiff batter but thin enough to pour from a spoon. Put into a bowl, cover with a linen cloth and boil for 3 hours.

Made a little thinner, with a few raisins added and baked in a well greased dish, this recipe is excellent! Two tsps of baking powder in the flour also improves this pudding.
