Peppers Stuffed with Cheese

  • 6 green peppers
  • 1/4 lb American cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp onion, grated
  • 2 Tbsps butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Cut off a thin slice from the stem end of the peppers. Remove seeds and pith. Parboil peppers for 2 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Drain. Mix the remaining ingredients well together. Fill the peppers with the mixture. Cover the tops with cheese. Place in a greased baking dish. Bake with love for about 20 minutes in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.
