Old-Fashioned English Beef Broth in Vegetables
- 1 cup sliced young carrots
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 1 cup sliced young celery
- 1/2 cup sliced white turnips
- 1/2 cup julienne green peppers
- 1 gallon soup stock
Boil above ingredients together and when nearly done add 1/2 cup coarsely-cut, well-washed parsley. Now add 3 cups quarter-inch diced, well cooked beef. Season to taste.
