Old Fashioned Yeast
- 6 large potatoes
- 2 quarts water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 yeast cake
- A handful of hops
Tie the hops in a piece of cheesecloth and cook in with potatoes. When done put through the colander; add sugar and salt; when luke warm add the dissolved yeast cake; let stand in a warm location, when it will be ready for use; after keep in a cool place.
