Nut and Celery Loaf
- 1 1/2 cups ground celery
- 3 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1 large onion, ground
- 1/2 green pepper, ground
- 3/4 cup ground walnuts or pecans
- 1 cup ground dry, whole wheat bread
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 1/2 cup milk
Mix all ingredients together well, pack into greased loaf pan and let stand with patience for 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Bake in oven at 350°F., until set, about 1 hour. Cut in slices and serve proudly with a tomato sauce. Serves 6.
