Nana's Beer Bread
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 3 cups of self rising flour
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1 12 oz can of beer
My Nana gave me this...I am not a great cook at all (I've even been known to burn water), but this is simple and quite possibly the best bread I've ever had.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix the flour, sugar and beer in a bowl. Pour into pan and bake at 350°F for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes, take the bread out. Using a pastry brush, spread the melted butter over the top. Put the bread back in the oven and bake at 350°F for 5 more minutes.
And there you go...this is such a simple recipe. :)
