Lemon Pie
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons sweet milk
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
Juice and grated rind of 1 lemon, 1 cup white sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, 2 tablespoons sweet milk, 4 eggs. Mix all thoroughly and as carefully as for cake. Line pie pan with paste, fill with custard and bake. Beat the whites of 2 large eggs, sweeten with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and spread smoothly on pie after it is baked and brown slightly.
