Lemon Jumbles
- 1 egg
- 4 ounces sugar
- 2 ounces butter
- 3 tsps milk
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Grated rind of 1 lemon
Cream the butter and sugar together. Dissolve the baking soda in milk and add. Add the egg. Mix the cream of tartar in the flour and add. Flavor with lemon juice and put in the grated lemon rind. Mix all rather stiff.
Roll and cut out with a cake cutter.
