Hot Cheese Balls
- 1/2 pound American cheese
- 1 pint soft bread crumbs
- dash of cayenne
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- eggs and crumbs for dipping
Mix dry ingredients, and add those eggs. Form into balls the size of an English walnut, dip in beaten egg and then in crumbs, and fry in smoking hot fat. These must be fried just before serving, and served hot, though they may be mixed any time.
