Hasty Cooked Potatoes

  • Potatoes
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Butter
Wash and peel potatoes. Cut into slices of about a quarter of an inch in thickness. Throw them into boiling salted water. If of good quality, they will be done in about 10 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Strain off the water, place the potatoes into a hot dish, chop them slightly. Add salt, pepper, and a few pieces of fresh butter. Serve without loss of time.
