Grape Juice

Pick grapes from the stalks. Crush them and place over a slow fire until the juice runs freely. Strain through a fine cloth or jelly bag, pressing out all the juice. Measure. To each quart, use a cup and a half of sugar. Scald the juice, add the sugar, boil 5 minutes after all the sugar is melted, and bottle and seal closely.
