Grape Jelly

  • Grapes
  • Loaf sugar
Wash the grapes and place them in a stone jar. Set the jar in a pan of cold water over a hot fire. When the juice comes out of the grapes, remove the pan from the fire and strain the grapes.

Allow 1 pound of loaf sugar to each pint of grape juice. Boil for 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
