Golden Cream
- 1 quart milk
- 6 egg yolks, well beaten
- 6 Tbsps sugar
- 1 Tbsp sifted flour
- 6 egg whites, beaten to a stiff froth
- 6 Tbsps powdered sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Lemon extract
Boil the milk. When boiling, stir into it the egg yolks. Add the sugar and flour which have been well-beaten together. When boiled, place the mixture into a baking dish and pour atop it the egg whites, mixing with them the powdered sugar. Set all in the oven and brown slightly. Flavor the top with vanilla and the bottom with lemon. Serve cold, with a warm smile.
