Ginger Snaps
- 1 lb flour
- 1/2 lb brown sugar
- 1/4 lb butter & lard, mixed
- 1/2 pint molasses
- 1 Tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
- Orange peel, grated
- Flour
Melt the butter and lard. Stir it into the molasses. Add sugar, spices and then the flour. Roll out as thin as possible.
Bake in a quick oven at 400°F.
