Ginger Snaps
- 1 pint molasses
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Flour
Mix the molasses, butter, ginger, cloves and baking soda together. Let it come to a boil. Use a large pot or it will foam over. When nearly cool, add enough flour to make a dough. Roll out and cut in small cakes.
Bake quickly at 400°F.
