Ginger Snaps
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 3 Tbsp ginger
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 4 ounces sour milk
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in a spoonful of hot water
- Flour
Boil the molasses, ginger, cinnamon and sugar together. Cool with the butter. Add the sour milk and dissolved baking soda. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Roll out very thin.
Bake quickly at 400°F.
