Ginger Beer

  • 1 1/2 ounce Jamaica ginger, ground
  • 1 1/2 ounce cream of tartar
  • 1 lb brown sugar
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 4 quarts boiling water
  • 1/2 pint yeast
Mix all of the above ingredients together. Let it ferment for 24 hours. It will be ready for use in 2 weeks.
