German Fried Cabbage
- 1 large head cabbage, chopped
- 3 Tbsps butter
- 1/4 cup cream
- Salt to taste
- Nutmeg
Cook cabbage in salted boiling water for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal). Remove from fire, drain well, and fry with butter for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Then slowly add the cream, stirring constantly, pepper and salt and a few grains of nutmeg.
