Fruit Spice Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 pound raisins
- 1/2 pound dried currants
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup strong coffee or sour milk
- 1/2 cup nuts
Mix as for cake. Bake in 1 large or 2 smaller paper-lined pans in oven at 350°F.
