Fruit Cake
- 1 pound raisins
- 1 pound currants
- 1/4 pound citron
- 1 cup of fruit preserves
- 1 pound stewed prunes
- 8 eggs
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 large cups sugar
- 1 cup of molasses
- 1 tablespoon of cloves
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of allspice
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 quart flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
One pound raisins, 1 pound currants, 1/4 pound citron, cup of fruit preserves, 1 pound stewed prunes, 8 eggs, 1/2 pound butter, 2 large cups sugar, 1 of molasses, tablespoon each of cloves, cinnamon, allspice, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 quart flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder, brown some of the flour. Bake 2 hours.
