Frozen Egg Nog with Brandy

  • 16 egg yolks
  • 1 pound sugar
  • 16 eggs whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 pint brandy
  • 1/2 point rum
Beat egg yolks thick and lemon colored with the sugar. Fold egg whites into mixture, add milk, rum and brandy, freeze in ice and salt. Serve in punch glasses, with nutmeg sprinkled on top. Very large recipe, about 1 gallon.
