Fried Tomatoes

 
  • Tomatoes
  • Lard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 ounces cream
  • 1 tsp flour
Slice the tomatoes 1/4 inch thick. Put in a skillet in which a spoonful of lard has been melted. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and then take the tomatoes out. Thicken the gravy with cream in which flour has been stirred in. Put the tomatoes in a dish and pour the gravy over them. Serve hot.
