Fried Shrimp, Bahiana

  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pimento
  • Few drops lemon juice
Trim the feelers of the shrimp with scissors. Wash shrimp, season with salt and lemon juice. Fry in frying pan with olive oil. Be careful not to remove shells from shrimp. When crisp, remove shrimp from pan. Add coconut milk into pan and the pimento, and let boil. Then pour sauce over the shrimp and serve at once.
