Fried Oysters
- Oysters
- 1 ounce butter
- 1 ounce lard
- Pepper
- Salt
- Egg
- Cracker crumbs
Remove the oysters from the shells and dry them. Heat the butter and lard in a thick bottomed frying pan.
Season the oyster with pepper and salt. Dip each one into the egg and roll, roll, roll in cracker crumbs.
Put in the hot oil. Fry a delicate brown, turning both sides.
Serve crisp and hot.
