English Plum Pudding
- 3/4 pound seeded raisins
- 1/2 pound currants
- 1/4 pound citron
- 1/4 pound figs
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 3 cups beef suet
- 4 eggs
- 1 pint milk
- 1/4 pound blanched almonds
- 1/4 pound English walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 orange chopped fine
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Three-fourth pound seeded raisins, 1/2 pound currants, 1/4 pound citron, 1/4 pound figs, 3/4 cup of sugar, 2 3/4 cup of sugar, 2 3/4 cups flour, 1 cup of bread crumbs, 3 cups beef suet, 4 eggs, 1 pint milk, 1/4 pound blanched almonds, 1/4 pound English walnuts, chopped, not too fine, 1/2 orange chopped fine, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 teaspoon soda stirred in molasses, salt to taste, 1/2 teaspoon cloves, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 nutmeg, 1 teaspoon vanilla; steam 5 hours, dry off in the oven.
