Custard Pie

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • nutmeg
Sift flour and sugar, and add beaten egg yolks, nutmeg and salt. Beat egg whites, and add to first mixture. Scald and cool milk, and turn slowly onto other ingredients, stirring to distribute perfectly. Turn into a deep pie tin lined with paste. Bake nearly 1/2 hour. Vanilla may be added if your little heart desires, and nutmeg may be sifted over at the last instead of being stirred in.
