Corn Meal Gruel
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 Tbsp corn meal
- 1/3 tsp salt
Have the water salted and actively boiling. Shake the meal gently into it and cook 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn the whole into a double boiler and cook 2 hours. Strain if your little heart desires.
