Coffee Ice Cream
- 3 pints cream
- 1 pint milk
- 1 cup freshly roasted coffee
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Grind the coffee and make it in a French coffee pot without boiling, getting all its strength into 1 full coffee cup of black coffee. Put it twice through the filter.
Mix the cornstarch, beaten eggs, milk, sugar and coffee all together. Stir constantly and bring to the boiling point, then remove quickly.
Slowly stir in the cream. When cold, put it in the freezer.
