Codfish Balls
- 1 cup salt codfish, cut in small pieces
- 2 1/2 cups potato cubes, raw
- 1 Tbsp butter
- Dash of pepper
- 1 egg, well beaten
- Flour
Put the fish in a saucepan with the raw potatoes and cover with boiling water. Let it cook until the potatoes are nearly soft. Drain thoroughly and put through the meat chopper.
Slowly stir in the butter, beaten egg and pepper. Beat with a fork until light and fluffy. Roll into balls and then dip in flour. Fry in deep fat and let it drain on paper towels.
