Cinnamon Cakes

  • 1 lb butter
  • 2 lbs flour
  • 1 lb sugar
  • 6 eggs, leaving out 2 yolks
  • Rose water
  • Cinnamon
  • Almonds, blanched
Cream butter and sugar together. Add flour.

Beat the eggs with a little rose water. With a feather, spread on the cakes. Strew cinnamon, sugar and blanched almonds on them. Lay on tins and bake in a slow oven at 300°F.
