Cinnamon Apples

  • 6 apples
  • 1/4 pound red hots
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • butter
Pare and core the apples. Place a piece of butter in the hole of each, and place apples in a pan. Add sugar, red hots, and water, and cook on stove, turning the apples a few times, until they are tender and red. The little red hots may be obtained at any drug store; as they are flavored with cinnamon, they give an unusual taste to the apples.
