Chocolate Ice Cream

  • 1/2 lb sweet chocolate
  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1 gallon milk, boiled
  • 2 Tbsps arrowroot
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
Dissolve the chocolate in 1 1/2 pint of boiled milk. Whip the eggs. Mix the arrowroot in a little chilled milk and add to the eggs. Pour in the dissolved chocolate and boiled milk and put on the fire to thicken. When cool, add sugar and vanilla to taste and freeze.
