Chocolate Cream Filling
- 2 cups milk
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 square (ounce) cooking chocolate, melted
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
Scald the milk. Blend the sugar, flour and salt together. Add the milk and melted chocolate gradually, stirring continually. Cook in a double boiler for 12 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add the beaten egg and cook for 3 minutes longer. Let cool. Add the vanilla.
