Chocolate Confectioner's Frosting

  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • vanilla to taste
Boil granulated sugar and water exactly 15 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Be careful not to stir after sugar is dissolved. When cool, add enough of syrup to confectioner's sugar and cocoa to make right consistency for spreading, soft not thin. Flavor with vanilla
