Chocolate Blanc-mange
- 1 ounce gelatin
- 4 ounces chocolate, grated
- 3/4 lb sugar
- 1 quart milk
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- Vanilla extract
Put the gelatin in enough cold water to cover it and let it stand for about an hour.
Melt the grated chocolate in a small amount of milk on the stove. Add the remaining milk, sugar and beaten egg yolks. Boil for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
Add the gelatin and let it boil up once. Flavor with vanilla extract.
Pour into molds and set in the refrigerator.
