Chili Sauce
- 2 dozen ripe tomatoes
- 3 small green peppers or 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 onion, finely cut
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups vinegar
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Boil together the tomatoes, green peppers, onion and sugar. Boil until thick. Then add the vinegar. Strain and set back on the fire. Add the seasonings. Boil for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Seal in glass bottles.
