Chicken Rolypoly

  • 1 quart flour
  • 2 tsps cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 4 ounces milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Chicken meat, minced
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Butter
Mix the cream of tartar with the flour. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk. Combine the 2 mixtures together. Add salt. Be careful not to use shortening of any kind.

Roll out the mixture half an inch thick. Lay on it the minced chicken, seasoned with pepper and salt.

Roll the crust over and over. Put on a buttered dish. Place in a steamer for half an hour.

Serve with gravy.
