Cherry Wine

  • Berries
  • Boiling water
  • Sugar
Measure the berries and bruise them, adding 1 quart of boiling water to every gallon of berries. Let it stand for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain off the liquor and put in a jar. Add 2 pounds of sugar to every gallon of liquor. Cover tightly and let it stand for several months when it will be fit for use without straining or boiling.
