Butter Cake
- 1 cup milk or water
- 3 cups flour
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 to 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- flavoring
Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, liquid, and flour and baking powder. Last add whites of eggs, well-beaten and flavoring. Nuts may be added if your little heart desires.
