Boiled Yams
- Yams
- Salted water
- White sauce
Peel and cut into slices about 1/2 inch thick, place them into a kettle with barely enough salted water to cover; cover closely and cook till tender- about 3/4 to 1 hour. Drain in a colander, keeping it hot. Make a white sauce, pour it over and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
