Banana Shortcake
- Bananas
- Oranges
- 1 cup of sugar
- Buttered cakes
- 4 tablespoons of sweet cream
Slice the bananas and mix with oranges in the proportion of 3 bananas to 1 orange; grate the outside of the orange peel and mix it with 1 cup of sugar; spread the whole over the buttered cakes. It is an improvement to add 4 tablespoons of sweet cream, beaten stiff.
