Baked Indian Pudding
- 1 pint corn meal, sifted
- 1 quart milk, boiled
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 eggs, beaten separately
- 1/2 pint suet, chopped
- Currants, raisins or citron (optional)
Make the corn meal into a mush. Pour the boiled milk over it. Add molasses, sugar, beaten eggs and chopped suet. If preferred, you may add a few currants, raisins or a little citron.
Bake with love for nearly 2 hours. Serve with sauce.
